Pricing and Quotes

How can I pay?

Card on the spot once the job's done, or a bank transfer against an invoice if that suits you better. There's no deposit to get a standard emergency underway, and nothing to pay just for us arriving.

Will you put the quote in writing?

Always. You get the price in writing before the work starts, itemised so you can see exactly what it covers, and it doesn't move once you've approved it.

Is the quote really free?

Yes. A plumber can come, assess the fault and quote it with nothing owing, and you only pay once you've agreed to the repair itself.

Do prices change once the job starts?

No, that's the whole reason we price it first. If we open a wall and find a second problem, we pause and re-quote before touching it, so the figure never creeps up behind your back.

Licences, Cover and the Rules

Who can legally do gas work in NSW?

Only a plumber who holds the specific gas licence class for the job. It's strictly controlled because careless gas work kills, and the installation has to be tested and certified before it goes back on; if you smell gas, the move is out of the building and 000 from the footpath.

What does the Lifetime Labour Warranty cover?

The labour on anything we repair, plainly and for good. If our work ever fails, we come back, no questions, no cost, and set it right at no charge.

Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or the water authority?

The split is your property boundary. From the house to that line it's yours to keep clear and ours to unblock; past it, the public main is the water authority's to look after, so we confirm which side the trouble sits on before pricing anything.

Are you licensed and insured?

Both, fully. We carry NSW Plumbing Licence #275278C and public liability insurance on every job, and we're happy to show the paperwork before a tool comes out.

How Fast, How Late, How Booked

How does the callback form work?

Leave your name, number and a line on what's wrong, and a plumber rings you back, day or night. It suits the non-urgent jobs; if water is actively going where it shouldn't, the phone is quicker every time.

What happens after I call?

You'll reach a licensed plumber who first steadies things over the phone, telling you what to isolate and move. We turn up, pin down the fault, and hand you a single price to sign off before work begins.

How fast can you get here?

As fast as the night allows, and we'll give you a real estimate on the phone instead of a time we can't hold to. Real emergencies leapfrog everything else, and because we're across the Beaches every day, you're rarely far from a van.

What details should I have ready when I call?

Just the basics: what's happening, where the water's coming from if you can see it, and whether you've managed to shut anything off. Anything you can't work out, the plumber on the line will walk you through.

Properly Local to Dee Why

Do tree roots really block drains around Dee Why?

On the older blocks, they're a leading cause. Established gardens and mature street trees, common right through the streets behind Ted Jackson Reserve, drive roots into the ageing clay sewers, and once a joint cracks they pour in, which is why we camera the line to find the break.

Why do Dee Why's older homes keep us busy?

Age and salt, mostly. The suburb's mid-century cottages run pipework that's decades old, and the coastal sea air corrodes exposed copper and fittings faster than it would inland, so things fail sooner here.

Do you work on Dee Why's apartments and strata blocks?

Constantly, given how much of Dee Why is unit stock, especially around the Dee Why Grand end of the town centre. Whether it's a single flat or a shared line serving the whole block, we handle the repair and coordinate with the strata manager where common property is involved.

Which suburbs do you service?

Dee Why is home turf, and from here we cover the surrounding Northern Beaches. Brookvale, Cromer, Collaroy, Narraweena, Curl Curl and Beacon Hill are all on the regular run, along with plenty more.
